This is only a partial listing of
the Vintage Fabrics that we offer. We specialize in Vintage Fabrics that
come from private "stashes" that become available to us through Estate
Sales, Estate Auctions, Yardsales, and Garage Sales. If the fabric has
been stored adequately, we try to bring it back onto the public market. As
with most Vintage Fabrics, some patterns are no longer available except in
private collections, and they usually go quickly.

DESCRIPTION: This is a vintage Jac-o-net retail store counter merchandiser and 29 vintage Jac-o-net hair nets. We found these items in the attic of the old fabric store. This is the kind of merchandiser that was commonly found years ago at your local General Store or Country Store. The merchandiser is 6” wide x 24” long x 14” tall to the top of the sign, and made out of thin metal (tin) painted brown. The brightly painted sign mounted on the upper rear is also metal, and includes the text “Look your Loveliest with Jac-o-net the Truly Invisible Nylon Hair Net”, “HAIRNET CORP OF AMERICA NEW YORK 10”. It also has the price of 10 cents, and says “All Colors” and lists 7 colors. The merchandiser is a little bent up, but is in decent condition for its age, and would display nicely. The hair nets are a variety of types. There are 12 Nylon, 9 Human Hair, and 8 Pure Silk hairnets. All of the packages include one hair net, and I assume that the correct net is in each envelope, although I can’t verify that. There are no dates on any of the items, but these nets are vintage items, and due to age, may no longer be serviceable merchandise as originally intended. The envelopes all appear to be unused store stock, but are somewhat dog-eared from handling through the years. Most of the nets are still encased in the original tissue paper, two of them are not. The photos show the actual items. |

DESCRIPTION: This is a vintage 1940’s Gainsborough Human Hair Net, framed and ready for display. The net, made of real human hair, is in the envelope and still encased in the original tissue paper. This collectable hairnet and package is old store stock we found along with several other similar items in the attic of the old fabric store. This net is a vintage item, and due to age, it may no longer be serviceable merchandise as originally intended. The envelope appears to be unused store stock, and is somewhat dog-eared from handling through the years, but it framed up nicely to be used for adding a touch of nostalgia when included in your decor. The copyright date on the back of the envelope is 1946 by the WECO Products Company, Chicago, Illinois. It comes framed in a new simple economy frame that can be hung on the wall immediately upon receipt, or the frame could easily be replaced with a more elaborate frame of your choice. The frame also comes with an adaptor for being placed standing on a flat surface. This item would be a perfect decoration for any Beauty Shop, Salon, or hair care center. |
